Programs Committee Member

Requirements:

  • Be enrolled in or graduated from a 4-year college accredited university

  • Have a GPA of at least a 3.4 on a 4.0 scale

  • Can fluently speak, read, and write in English and Spanish

Preferences:

  • Have previous community service experience

  • Live in the New York Metropolitan area

  • Be of Ecuadorian or other Hispanic origins

  • Major and/or minor in a subject related to international relations

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the progress of SCDW's efforts in Ecuador

  • Communicate with SCDW's connections in Ecuador on a regular basis, in order to ensure that the efforts are being made in an efficient manner

  • Maintain a detailed schedule with deadlines and special events for the various efforts that are being made in Ecuador

  • Analyze and report on the efficiency of the various efforts that have been made in Ecuador

  • Approve the costs for future efforts in Ecuador

  • Consistently update the Director of Programs and fellow Programs Committee Members on the developments being made within SCDW's efforts in Ecuador
     

Marketing Committee Member

Requirements:

  • Be enrolled in or graduated from a 4-year college accredited university

  • Have a GPA of at least a 3.4 on a 4.0 scale

  • Can fluently speak, read, and write in English

Preferences:

  • Have previous community service experience

  • Live in the New York Metropolitan area

  • Demonstrate experience with the search engine optimization process

  • Major and/or minor in a subject related to marketing

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies and tactics to deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution

  • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis

  • Oversee and approve marketing material, from website banners to hard copy brochures and case studies

  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight, and assess against goals

  • Consistently update the Director of Marketing and fellow Marketing Committee Members on the developments being made within assigned responsibilities

Social Media Committee Member

Requirements:

  • Be enrolled in or graduated from a 4-year college accredited university

  • Have a GPA of at least a 3.4 on a 4.0 scale

  • Can fluently speak, read, and write in English

Preferences:

  • Have previous community service experience

  • Live in the New York Metropolitan area

  • Demonstrate experience with managing social media platforms

  • Major and/or minor in a subject related to social media

Responsibilities:

  • Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content, while identifying and improving organizational development aspects that would improve content

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences and communicate with said audience by responding to queries in a timely manner

  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications

  • Collaborate with other departments, like marketing, communications, and programs to ensure brand consistency and accuracy in content information

  • Consistently update the Director of Social Media and fellow Social Media Committee Members on the developments being made within SCDW's social media platforms
